The Sign Up for User ID process lets you create a new User ID and Password. You don't have to do this if you already have one for other Texas Workforce Internet applications. This page collects your basic personal information and allows you to choose the Logon and Security Information that you want.
Overview
Tips
- You can use the same User ID and Password for most Texas Workforce Internet applications. If you already have a User ID for one of these applications and want to use it for this one too, then logon using that User ID and Password. You may be asked for additional information.
- You will use the User ID that you create on this page every time you logon to this application. The Password you create will need to be changed periodically - every 180 days.
- The Security Information you create will be available to help you if you forget your Password. Answering your Security Questions correctly will allow you to create a new Password and logon to the application.
Personal Information

Required. Include any information or punctuation you want to display within or after your last name, such as a hyphen or "Jr."
May be required, depending on the application. Enter the Email Address at which you can receive correspondence regarding your Password or this application. If you do not have an email account, click on the Get Free Email Account link under this field to see a list of providers that do not charge for email. Must include an "@" symbol and cannot include spaces. Example: email@email.com
Logon Information
Required. Sometimes known as your screen name or logon ID, this is how the system will recognize you. Must have 3 to 32 characters. Cannot include spaces.
Required. Secret access code that you create and use to logon. Make your Password something you can remember but others can't guess. If you do forget your Password, use the Forgot Password link under Quick Links.
Must have 8 to 32 characters, including at least 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number, and 1 symbol(one of #@$%^.!*_+). It should not contain first name, last name, or part of User ID.). Case sensitive. Displays as asterisks (*) to protect your privacy.

Security Information
Required. The Security Question and Answer will be used to identify you if you forget your Password.
